Small business tech, explained like a human.

Websites. Google Business Profile. AI tools that actually save you time. Computer setups that don't fight you. PointTech is our small business service desk — for owners who don't have time to become an IT department.

01 / PointTech

Built for the one- and two-person business.

Most local businesses don't need a full-time tech person — they need a trusted neighbor who can set up a website, fix the printer, pick the right AI tool, and explain in plain English what's actually going to help. That's PointTech. We handle the tech so you can focus on the work.

Websites & online presence

  • New website builds — fast, modern, mobile-first, built to rank locally
  • Website refreshes — take a tired site and make it current without starting from zero
  • Domain & email setup — we register, configure, and deliverability-test the whole stack
  • Google Business Profile — set up, verified, optimized for local search
  • Basic local SEO — get found when neighbors search "[your service] near me"
  • Review generation setup — make it easy for happy customers to leave reviews

AI enablement

AI is changing what small businesses can do solo. We pick the right tools for your workflow and actually set them up — you don't have to figure out which of fifty products is worth the subscription.

  • AI for writing — emails, proposals, quotes, marketing copy, faster and better
  • AI for research — customers, competitors, regulations, anything
  • AI for admin — summarize documents, triage inboxes, generate reports
  • AI for content — social posts, blog drafts, listing descriptions
  • Voice-to-text & transcription — meetings, voicemails, notes, captured and searchable
  • Training — we'll sit down and walk you through it until it clicks

Tech setup & support

  • Computer, printer, and wi-fi setup for small offices and home businesses
  • Backup, password management, and security basics
  • Cloud storage and file sharing (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Dropbox)
  • Shipping, invoicing, and POS integrations (Shopify, Etsy, Square, QuickBooks)
  • "Fix the thing that's broken" visits — hourly, no contract

Workflow & operations help

  • Turning manual tasks into automated ones (forms, scheduling, reminders)
  • Connecting the tools you already use so they stop siloing your data
  • Creating simple, repeatable processes for quoting, onboarding, or follow-up
  • Light bookkeeping software setup and coaching

How we work

  1. Free 30-minute consult — in person at the store or on a video call. We listen, ask questions, and tell you what we think would actually help.
  2. Flat-fee scope — most projects are quoted as a flat fee so you know what you're paying before we start. Hourly is available when it fits better.
  3. Hands-on build — we do the work, check in along the way, and deliver something that works.
  4. Ongoing support — once set up, we're around for questions, tweaks, and "this just broke" moments.

PointTech Professionals is part of the ShipPoint Center family of services. Same owners, same store.

PointTech FAQ

Common questions.

How is PointTech different from hiring an agency?

We're small, local, and practical. Agencies are built for bigger budgets and longer engagements. PointTech is built for the business owner who needs something working by next week and doesn't want a retainer contract.

Do you build on WordPress, Squarespace, or something else?

We pick the tool that fits the job. For most small business sites, that's Squarespace, Wix, or a clean static build — fast, low-maintenance, and easy for you to update. When WordPress or Shopify is the right call, we use those too.

How much does a website cost?

Flat-fee project pricing depends on scope. A basic 5–7 page small business site typically runs $1,500–$3,000, including setup, copywriting help, and Google Business Profile. Bigger or e-commerce projects are quoted separately.

I don't know what AI tools I should be using. Can you just tell me?

Yes. That's what the free consult is for. We'll look at how you actually spend your time and recommend the two or three tools that'll move the needle — usually something like ChatGPT, Claude, or a specific industry tool. Then we set them up with you.

Do you do ongoing maintenance?

For websites we build, yes — optional monthly maintenance covers updates, backups, and tweaks. For general tech support, we're available hourly or by retainer depending on what you need.

Can you help my business get on Google Maps?

Yes. We set up and verify your Google Business Profile, optimize it for local search, and show you how to use it to gather reviews and attract customers. This alone often doubles local inbound calls for service businesses.

Is this a full-time thing or a side service?

It's an intentional part of our business. We're opening ShipPoint Center to serve Carmel's everyday needs — and PointTech is the same philosophy applied to small business tech. Not a side hustle; a real service line.

A 30-minute call might change your month.

Free, no-obligation. We'll listen, share what we think, and tell you if PointTech is the right fit — consults available now, with in-store sessions opening alongside the shop.
