Amazon returns · Carmel, NY

Walk-in Amazon returns.

No box. No label. No packing. Just bring the item and your QR code to our Carmel store — we scan, box, and ship it back at the counter.

How it works
How it works

Three steps. That's it.

Amazon's "third-party drop-off" option is the fastest way to return an item. You don't print anything. You don't pack anything. You just walk in.

Step 01

Start your return

On Amazon, go to Your Orders → Return or Replace Items. Pick a reason, then choose "Drop off at third-party location." Amazon will show a QR code — screenshot or save it.

Step 02

Bring the item

Walk in to our Carmel store. You don't need to box or wrap it — bring it in whatever condition it's in. Just have the QR code ready on your phone.

Step 03

We handle the rest

We scan your QR code, box your item, and ship it back to Amazon. You get a drop-off confirmation, and your refund posts per Amazon's normal timeline.

Why here

Faster than the post office. Closer than the nearest big-box.

Most Carmel residents shipping Amazon returns have two options: drive 15+ minutes to the nearest UPS Store or wait in line at the post office. We're opening in Carmel, NY, with free parking — and returns will be processed at the counter, without a line.

What you need

  • The item you're returning (unpacked is fine)
  • Your Amazon QR code (on your phone screen or printed)

That's the whole list. Everything else — box, tape, label, shipping — is on us.

What we do at the counter

  • Scan your QR code to validate the return
  • Inspect the item briefly (required by Amazon)
  • Box, tape, and label it for return shipment
  • Hand you a drop-off receipt for your records
  • Ship it back — typically via UPS, per Amazon's routing

Is it really free?

Yes. If Amazon gave you a free return QR code, there's no charge from us either. We're paid by Amazon for handling the return on their behalf. You walk out with nothing taken from your refund.

What if I don't have a QR code?

Some returns use a printed prepaid label instead. That's fine too — bring the label and the item, and we'll scan it in as a standard drop-off. If you need the label printed, we can do that in-store for a small fee at our print desk.

Exceptions worth knowing

A small number of Amazon returns require the item to be in its original packaging (some electronics, some large items). Amazon will tell you in the return flow if that's the case. Bring it packed as-instructed and we'll still handle the drop-off.

Amazon returns FAQ

Common questions.

Do I need to box the item myself?

Nope. Bring it in whatever shape — unboxed, partially opened, or still-in-the-package. We box and tape it on our side.

Where do I find the QR code?

On Amazon, go to Your Orders, click Return or replace items on the order, pick a reason, then choose Drop off at third-party location. Amazon will show the QR code at the end — you can screenshot it or save it to your phone.

Is there a charge?

If Amazon is giving you a free return (which most returns are), it's free here too. Amazon pays us to process the return — you don't pay anything.

How soon will I get my refund?

Amazon typically issues the refund within 2–3 business days of us scanning in your return. Some categories (like Prime items) refund even faster — sometimes immediately after drop-off.

Do I need an ID?

No ID is required for Amazon returns. Just the item and the QR code.

Can I return a large item?

We handle most normal-size returns (anything up to a large box). For oversized items or items requiring LTL freight return, Amazon usually arranges a pickup directly — but come in and we'll take a look.

Do you also do Kohl's or Whole Foods Amazon returns?

Amazon partners with several drop-off locations. We're authorized to handle Amazon third-party drop-off returns directly — the fastest option. If your return specifically routes to Kohl's or Whole Foods, that'll be noted in the Amazon return flow.

Do you have a line?

Rarely. Because Amazon returns are so quick, any short queue moves fast. We'll keep this counter staffed during our posted hours.

Bring the item. We'll do the rest.
